By downloading or using I'm a Chef!, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

I'm a Chef! provides recipe suggestions based on user-provided preferences, ingredients, and optional photo uploads. Recipes may be generated using automated systems, including AI.

The app is for informational and culinary guidance purposes only.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate account information
Use the app for lawful purposes
Not attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the service

You are responsible for:

Safe food handling
Proper cooking techniques
Allergy awareness
Verifying ingredient safety

We are not responsible for cooking outcomes, food allergies, or preparation errors.

4. AI-Generated Content

Some recipes may be generated automatically. While we aim for accuracy and quality:

We do not guarantee recipe accuracy
We do not guarantee results
Users should use independent judgment when cooking

5. Subscriptions & Billing

I'm a Chef! offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("I'm a Chef Pro").

Free Tier includes basic recipe generation, one ingredient photo upload, and standard features.
Pro Tier ($4.99/month or $49.99/year) includes unlimited recipe variations, up to 5 ingredient photos, intelligent substitutions, and real-time cooking feedback.
Subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Payment is processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Refund requests should be directed to Apple, as they handle all payment processing.

6. Community Board

The Community Board allows users to share photos of completed dishes. By using the Community Board, you agree to:

Only share photos of food you have prepared
Not post offensive, inappropriate, or unrelated content
Respect other users' contributions

Posts that receive 3 or more user flags may be automatically hidden and reviewed by our team. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

7. Accounts & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app.

8. Intellectual Property

All app content, branding, design, and software are owned by us and may not be copied, redistributed, or used without permission.

Users retain ownership of photos they upload but grant us a limited license to process them for recipe generation purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Cooking results
Food reactions or allergies
Ingredient misidentification
Indirect or consequential damages

Use the app at your own discretion.

10. Modifications

We may update the app or these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
